Corporate teams benefitting from supporting charity
“We have a young workforce who are always up for a challenge, and Nottingham Hospitals Charity hosts some fantastic fundraising events,” says Caitlin Colder, Digital Marketing Executive at Yu Energy, a Nottingham-based national gas and electricity supplier which is one of the new band of businesses that have become Charity partners over the last year.
“We wanted to work with a Nottingham-based Charity that offered some great fundraising challenges and volunteering opportunities. Our focus is on building a great working relationship with a Charity so that together we can make a big difference.”
Yu Energy’s enthusiastic staff team decided to partner with the Charity at the early stages of a major three year £3million appeal, The Big Appeal, raising funds for Nottingham Children’s Hospital to help change the lives of over 60,000 babies and children that use its services each year.
The Strelley company which supplies gas and electricity to business customers across the UK first signed up for the Asda Foundation Nottingham 10k race. However, the company is already planning its next challenge including coming as volunteers into the Charity.
Yu Energy is one of a range of local companies backing the Charity’s appeals. Specsavers, Hillarys, Sainsbury’s Beeston and Castle Boulevard, Sandicliffe.and Hart’s Restaurant are all appeal partners undertaking activities from Charity Dinners, to Events Challenges.
