Celebrate the strength of someone who has been treated here at Nottingham’s Breast Institute
Our Tree of Courage grows here in the heart of Nottingham Breast Institute, standing tall for those whose lives have been affected by Breast Cancer.
Taking on Breast Cancer can require tremendous courage, both physically and emotionally. Our Tree is here to recognise those people who have faced a difficult diagnosis, and have continued to be strong for themselves, their families and their loved ones throughout their treatment.
It is a special way to say thank you for the care received here at Nottingham Breast Institute and leave messages of courage for others to read.
How do I make a dedication to the Tree of Courage?
Our Tree of Courage has 420 leaves and 15 flowers, each one engraved with a name or personal message. Once a dedication is made, your leaf will remain on the tree for a year.
You can choose what kind of leaf you would like to dedicate, in exchange for a donation to the Nottingham Breast Institute. The suggested donation is £90 for a Bronze leaf, £150 for Silver, £250 for Gold or £1,000 for a Flower.
After 12 months, you can either choose to keep the leaf as a special keepsake, or make another donation to keep the leaf on the tree for another year.

Your donations already fund ongoing services and support for patients, such as refurbishment of waiting rooms, as well as vital research into the treatment of breast cancer right here in Nottingham.

Anyone can add a leaf to our Tree of Courage. Each leaf is a personalised dedication in support of the Nottingham Breast Institute and helps fund life-changing projects and equipment for patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
Donation amounts vary depending on the type of leaf you wish to add to the tree. To add a bronze leaf, the donation is £90, for silver it’s £150, and for a gold leaf it’s £250.
