Thank you to everyone who came to our ‘Meet the hospital charity’ event this evening (Thursday 30th July) at the Doubletree Hilton Nottingham Gateway.
Dozens of people attended the event to learn more about what we do here at Nottingham Hospitals Charity and the sorts of facilities and services that we fund at Nottingham’s hospitals.
The evening included presentations from staff whose roles are funded by the charity – including Children’s Complementary Therapist Ginny McGivern and Domestic Abuse Specialist Nurse Maggie Westbury – as well as leukaemia patient James Morley and cystic fibrosis patient Caroline Spencer talking about how charitable funding has improved facilities for them.
Speakers also included Dr Joanne Cooper, Head of Nursing and Midwifery Research at NUH, talking about some of the research projects supported by charitable donations, and Assistant Director of Nursing Sue Haines outlining some of the staff development programmes that have received funding.
It is only thanks to the generous donations of our supporters that we are able to support these facilities, services, research projects and staff development programmes.
If you’d like to learn more about how we use your donations, or if you’d like to get involved in fundraising, please get in touch by calling us on 0115 962 7905 or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
