We are pleased to officially announce that we will be one of the sponsors at the brand new Team NUH Awards, taking place virtually on Wednesday 15th September.
Team NUH Public Award, kindly sponsored by...
Barbara Cathcart, Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to sponsor the Public Award at this year’s Team NUH Awards, to recognise the hard work and dedication shown by our wonderful NHS staff over the past year. It has been a year like no other, and we have been proud to support our Team NUH colleagues as they faced the daily challenges brought on by the pandemic. It has been heart-warming to see the local community come together to support our NHS hospitals, and we are so pleased to be able to show our hospital staff, through this award, just how much they are valued and appreciated.”
There are nine categories in the awards each with a dedicated sponsor that is aligned to the value and behaviours underpinning the category. Throughout 2021, the judges have reviewed nominations at quarterly intervals; January, March and June, and a winner and highly commended has been surprised by a member of our Executive Board Team with their award. In September, we are bringing all of these staff together to celebrate and recognise them formally at an official virtual event. The final quarter of judging (August), will be done by an external panel, and overall category winners will be revealed.
These new awards replace the NUH Honours, and are aligned to our Team NUH Values and Behaviours. There are nine categories; one for each of our seven Trust values for staff to nominate under, one for the public to nominate under, to show their thanks to the staff involved in their / their loved one’s care, and one for Volunteer of the Year.
We wish to thank all of those who have submitted nominations so far and we remind staff and the public that nominations are open all year round, so it’s never too late to submit. Those received from May 31st 2021 onwards (or July 31st onwards for the Volunteer of the Year category), will be judged in January 2022.
