Last week we spent a busy day with our colleagues at Nottingham Hospitals, delivering a whole host of items to enhance rest spaces for our staff during this challenging time.

Thanks to your donations, we were able to provide items such as comfortable furniture, microwaves, kettles and dinner sets, for hospital staff to use on their breaks during busy shifts.

With help from the hospital’s Logistics team, and with special thanks to Clair Morley from the Sustainability and Transformation team who was instrumental in helping to co-ordinate the ordering and distribution of the goods, we were able to drop off these special deliveries to rest spaces in dozens of wards and departments across the Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital.

Steph Knowles, Head of NUH Staff Wellbeing, said: “It’s brilliant to see these deliveries being made for the hard-working staff at our hospitals. It’s been a difficult year for our Team NUH, and it’s wonderful to be able to provide resources for them to take time to look after their wellbeing, to be able to continue to deliver patient care. We’d like to thank Nottingham Hospitals Charity and all the donors and supporters who have made these deliveries possible.”

Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to fund over £100,000 of furniture equipment for staff spaces over the past year. Thank you for being there for our NHS staff, just as they have been here for all of us during this difficult year.
