Give a gift to a child in Nottingham Children’s Hospital this Christmas

Our campaign to provide Christmas presents and treats for children in hospital this festive season has now launched!

We’ve launched our Grant a Christmas Wish campaign, where you can make a donation towards a gift for a child at Nottingham Children’s Hospital this Christmas.

You can make a donation online today and choose from toys, days out, art and craft supplies and technology, to help bring a smile to the faces of babies, toddlers and young people being treated at Nottingham Children’s Hospital.

Louise Knight, Head of Fundraising at Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said: “Every year we receive requests from local individuals, families, businesses and community groups who are eager to give gifts to children in hospital at Christmas time, which led to the idea for this campaign.

Grant a Christmas Wish enables people to give however much they can – whether it is £5, £50 or even £500 for a group donation, and choose the type of gift or bundle of gifts that they would like to give. Because the list of presents has been chosen by the Play Specialists who work at Nottingham Children’s Hospital, people can be sure that the gift they choose is something that young patients really want or need.”

Dr Stephanie Smith, Emergency Paediatric Consultant and Nottingham Children’s Hospital Champion, said: “No child or family chooses to be in hospital at Christmas time. This campaign aims to make Christmas time brighter and happier for those children and families who do find themselves on one of our wards during the festive period.

“We hope the people of Nottingham will get behind this campaign and make a donation, however large or small, to bring a smile to the faces of our patients at this special time of year.”
