We have chosen Nottingham University Hospitals Charity for our branch "charity of the year" as the healthcare industry has faced unprecedented challenges in recent years: from several years of financial cuts and budget restraints to the pandemic crisis. We wanted to support a charity that would use the funds we raise to help those who need it most, and that we would be able to see where this has been spent. We are also keen to assist on a practical basis in our spare time for example becoming involved in gardening, painting or other areas.
