These are long-term commitments that help sustain and strengthen care for patients, families, and staff -embedding the Charity at the heart of everyday hospital life.
Our continued funding focuses particularly on services at Hayward House Palliative Care Unit and Nottingham Children’s Hospital, where we support a range of roles and programmes that go beyond standard NHS provision. These initiatives are designed to enrich patient experience, provide additional comfort, and support emotional wellbeing alongside clinical care.
At Hayward House, our support helps deliver expanded palliative care services, including emotional support counselling, complementary therapies and therapeutic treatments that improve quality of life for patients and provide vital support to families. We also fund Day Therapy Services, which extends care beyond inpatient settings - enabling patients living at home to visit, connect with others, and take part in activities that support wellbeing and reduce isolation.
Within Nottingham Children’s Hospital, our funding contributes to roles and services that help create a more supportive and child-friendly environment, ensuring young patients and their families receive holistic care during their time in hospital.
We are also proud to support the award-winning Arts at NUH programme, which brings creativity into hospital spaces. From arts trails and live performances to artists in residence, this programme transforms hospital environments for patients, visitors, and staff alike - promoting wellbeing, distraction, and moments of joy during challenging times.
