Easter deliveries across NUH

We've received hundreds of generously donated Easter eggs, which we've been delivering to patients across NUH this week. We wanted to ensure adult patients, as well as children, got the chance for a seasonal treat this Easter. Find out more about our Easter activities.

How we're supporting home births in Nottingham

We're pleased to be supporting the Homebirth team at NUH, by providing charity-funded birthing pools. These pools will be used by expectant parents opting for a water birth in their own home. Find out more about this charity-funded project. 

Arts projects help patients at Hayward House

Arts and crafts activities at Hayward House, funded by donors to Nottingham Hospitals Charity, are helping to bring a sense of community and connection for patients at Hayward House palliative care unit. Read more about this project funded by our supporters. 

Special tribute to life-saving surgeon

Our supporter Debbie has raised over £2,000 by crafting special 'Basu bags' in honour of Consultant Neurosurgeon Mr Surajit Basu, who saved her husband Wayne's life after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Read Debbie and Wayne's story here.

Richard Whitehead MBE visits new children's facility

Paralympic gold medallist, marathon runner and diversity and inclusion champion Richard Whitehead MBE joined Nottingham Hospitals Charity in visiting the new Mobility Centre Children’s Annexe, at the City Hospital site, last week. Read the full story here.

Carole Joyce, mum of Stuart Broad, shares her thoughts on new Neonatal Unit

We're proud to have England cricket legend Stuart Broad, and his mum Carole Joyce, as Ambassadors of our Big Appeal. They have been supporting the appeal towards the new Neonatal Unit at QMC - a cause close to their hearts as Stuart was treated at the City Hospital Neonatal Unit as a baby. Creating a peaceful space in Children's ED

Thanks to our supporters, we’ve been able to help provide a much-needed quiet space in the busy Children’s Emergency Department (ED) at the Queen’s Medical Centre. The Willow Room provides a safe and peaceful place for sensitive conversations. Find out more about this important facility.

Joyful January spreads cheer for patients young and old

Thanks to our generous donors, we brought ‘Joyful January’ to NUH by giving away a huge array of toys and games for patients across both children’s and adult areas. NUH Neurosurgeon creates charity cards

NUH Neurosurgeon Surajit Basu has turned his love of photography into a way to support patients and staff through Nottingham Hospitals Charity.  Mr Basu has created a series of stunning greetings card, which are on sale now at our Charity Hub on B Floor at QMC. Read Mr Basu's story here.
