FINAL CALL! Join our Dragon Boat Race this summer!

It’s your LAST CHANCE to join our fantastic Dragon Boat Race on the River Trent this July! There are just four boats left available for this hugely popular and fun-filled event, which takes place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July. Gather together a team of 17 friends, family members or colleagues, and raise money for your chosen area of NUH as you paddle down the river. We hope to see you there! Book your spot today! 

Building work starts on Hayward House entrance

Thanks to all those who have supported our Hayward House Appeal, work has now begun on improving the front entrance area at Hayward House palliative care unit, at the City Hospital. The enhancements to the main entrance and reception area will help create a more calming and welcoming atmosphere for patients and their loved ones during their time in Hayward House. Specsavers team help funds Radiotherapy equipment

Staff from Specsavers in Nottingham raised money to help fund a machine to minimise side effects for patients undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy. The team raised money in memory of their colleague Stuart Green’s wife Amber, who worked at NUH and was treated in the Radiotherapy department before she sadly passed away. Dad thanks PPCU for looking after his daughter for almost a year

Dottie Harrison spent almost her entire life in the Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) after being diagnosed with multiple rare conditions.  Sadly, Dottie passed away in 2022, a few days before her first birthday. Now, dad Rew Harrison has taken on a cycling challenge from his home in Skegness, to the QMC, to raise money in thanks for the care they received. Read the family's moving story.

New family room makes a big difference

Thanks to our donors, we’ve been able to fund a calm and comforting room for families of stroke patients on ward C4, to enable them to step away from the busy hospital environment and catch their breath. Find out more about this project.

Easter deliveries across NUH

We've received hundreds of generously donated Easter eggs, which we've been delivering to patients across NUH this week. We wanted to ensure adult patients, as well as children, got the chance for a seasonal treat this Easter. Find out more about our Easter activities.

How we're supporting home births in Nottingham

We're pleased to be supporting the Homebirth team at NUH, by providing charity-funded birthing pools. These pools will be used by expectant parents opting for a water birth in their own home. Find out more about this charity-funded project. 

Arts projects help patients at Hayward House

Arts and crafts activities at Hayward House, funded by donors to Nottingham Hospitals Charity, are helping to bring a sense of community and connection for patients at Hayward House palliative care unit. Read more about this project funded by our supporters. 

Special tribute to life-saving surgeon

Our supporter Debbie has raised over £2,000 by crafting special 'Basu bags' in honour of Consultant Neurosurgeon Mr Surajit Basu, who saved her husband Wayne's life after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Read Debbie and Wayne's story here.
