Take a leap of faith at the Big QMC Abseil!
Our Big QMC Abseil is BACK this September! Take on our hugely popular abseil down the side of the QMC, in aid of your chosen area of NUH. Why not get a team of colleagues, friends or family members to take part together? Warning – not for the faint hearted! Find out more and sign up.

Help out at our 5k Donor Run at Wollaton Park
Fancy helping out at a very special Donor Run at the beautiful Wollaton Park this summer? The event takes place on the evening of Saturday 3rd August, and promises to be a very special celebration for those whose lives have been touched by organ donation. Find out more and sign up.

Helping children get involved in clinical research
Thanks to donations from our supporters, we recently funded a range of enhancements at the Children’s Clinical Research Facility at QMC. Donations helped to fund artwork, toys and games, to help children feel more at ease while taking part in important research studies. Read more here.

Take on the Robin Hood Half Marathon!
Always wanted to take on a half marathon? Now’s your chance! You can run the Robin Hood Half Marathon for Nottingham Hospitals Charity on Sunday 29th September, or take on the mini marathon with family or friends. England cricket legend Stuart Broad supports Big Appeal
We’re delighted to announce that Nottinghamshire and England cricket legend Stuart Broad, and his mum Carole, are supporting our Big Appeal for Nottingham Children’s Hospital. Stuart was cared for on the City Hospital Neonatal Unit as a baby, and is now supporting our appeal for the new Neonatal Unit being built at QMC. Join the British Transplant Games Donor Run
Thanks to funding from Nottingham Hospitals Charity, the British Transplant Games are coming to our city this summer! The flagship event is the Nottingham Hospitals Charity Donor Run, at Wollaton Park on the evening of Saturday 3rd
August – and we’d love you to get involved! We have a limited number of free spaces for this family-friendly 2.5k or 5k run around a beautiful route – or if you prefer a slower pace, why not join us on the day as a volunteer race marshal? Find out more here.

Charity QMC Hub reopens!
Nottingham Hospitals Charity’s new-look Hub at the QMC has reopened after its refurbishment! The Hub is currently only open from 9am to 2pm on Wednesdays, but more hours and days will be added in the coming weeks. Pop in to browse our gifts and clothing, to chat to us about fundraising, or just to say hi! You can find us behind Costa by the B Floor main entrance.

Funding special equipment for the Nottingham Breast Institute

Come along to our Robin Run 5k and Family Fun Day this Sunday!
Online entries are now closed for our Robin Run 5k and Family Fun Day at Sherwood Pines this Sunday (19th
May) – but it’s not too late to get involved! You can still come along on the day and register using cash for our 5k run or one-mile treasure hunt walk. After running or walking, bring a picnic and enjoy our fun family activities. We hope to see you there! Find out more here.

Photography sessions help boost staff wellbeing
Special photography sessions around the hospital sites have helped boost the wellbeing of staff from across NUH. The special workshops were funded by Nottingham Hospitals Charity, to encourage staff to take a break and look at their workplace with a new perspective. Find out more about the project.

Grab your colleagues and get stuck in with fundraising for your area of the hospital – because Challenge 1000 is BACK for 2024/25! There are a whole host of ways you and your team can raise £1,000 for your area throughout 2024/25 – whether you want to hold your own event, like a cake sale, or take on one of our official events like our Big QMC Abseil. Young siblings start business to raise money for Nottingham Children’s Hospital
Three young siblings – Francis, aged ten, Claire, eight, and Emmanuel, six, have started a venture selling eco-friendly children’s socks, with 10% of their profits being donated to the Big Appeal for Nottingham Children’s Hospital. Meet the young entrepreneurs!

Endoscopy team’s 100-mile challenge
This week, 28 intrepid members of the Endoscopy team are cycling 100 miles to raise money for their department. Whilst they bravely cycle in the rain, other colleagues staying behind are also taking on the challenge on static bikes! Sponsor the team here.

Staff development funding applications now open!
Applications are now open for staff development funding for Nurses, Midwives, Allied Health Professionals and Healthcare Scientists at NUH. Applicants are invited to apply for up to £1,000 towards dissertation and study modules. Find out more and apply here.
