On 15th March, we welcomed some of our Big Appeal donors to a celebration event at QMC, where we unveiled our new fundraiser boards which we be displayed across Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
Supporters including the Nottingham Scouts, Inzpire, Handelsbanken and fundraisers Oliver, Ashley and Charlene Swift and Rosie Bird all joined us for the evening and spotted their names on the boards.

During the event, we announced that the Big Appeal has raised over £4 million to date, which has helped fund vital equipment including the state-of-the-art iMRI machine and a refurbishment of the Parent and Family Accommodation.
Many of our fundraisers have taken on incredible challenges including 12-hour fitness challenges, charity football matches and half marathons.
Some of the younger fundraisers who attended the evening have been patients at the hospital and have experienced first-hand the incredible care that Nottingham Children’s Hospital provides.
One of our notable young supporters is Oliver Swift, who was treated for a brain tumour since the age of five months old. He beat the odds, and rang the bell to signify the end of his treatment in 2021. His mum Charlene and dad Ashley have both taken part in our events to raise money for the hospital, with Charlene scaling a 100 foot down the side of the QMC and Ashley taking on the Robin Hood Half Marathon to raise an incredible amount for the Children’s Hospital.

We were also delighted to welcome many local businesses who have supported the Appeal, including Inzpire, Handelsbanken and Shredall SDS Group.
The new fundraiser boards will be installed in the Children’s Hospital in the next few months. Thank you to everyone who has supported the Big Appeal and helped us reach this incredible milestone.
