Welcome to your January update from Nottingham Hospitals Charity, and a Happy New Year from the charity team. We’re excited to announce that 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Nottingham Hospitals Charity – and, with your help, we’ve raised more than £64 million over the past two decades to support patients, families and staff at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals. Record-breaking support this festive season
More than 30 local businesses supported Nottingham Hospitals Charity over the festive season, by fundraising, donating and volunteering.
Thanks to this support, it was a record-breaking Christmas for the charity, meaning we could bring the gift of joy to patients of all ages across Nottingham’s hospitals.
Join our 20th anniversary celebrations
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Nottingham Hospitals Charity – and we want YOU to join in the celebrations!
Join in the fun by taking part in one of our fantastic 2026 fundraising events – from our Dragon Boat Race down the River Trent, to our Charity Golf Day, the Big Bake, and the ever-popular Big QMC Abseil, there is an event for everyone.
Ultrasound is helping patients
For Haemophilia patients, exercise can be stressful and even scary due to the risk of internal injury. Thanks to your donations, a portable ultrasound is helping patients see what’s happening inside their bodies – allowing them to exercise safely, lowering anxiety, and avoiding unnecessary hospital visits.
Supporting activities that helped my daughter
Read why mum Jen is raising money for Nottingham Children’s Hospital, after her daughter Abbie was diagnosed with a rare form of brain tumour. The mum and daughter want to say thank you to the team who have cared for Abbie over the past five years, and continue to do so.
Big Bake returns
Our Big Bake is back for 2026! Hold a cake sale or coffee morning at your workplace, school or in your local community, in aid of your chosen area of Nottingham’s NHS hospitals. Download our FREE Big Bake pack, for posters, cake labels and bunting to help with your event.
