April Supporter Update

Welcome to your April update from Nottingham Hospitals Charity. Read on to find out how we’ve been supporting young people at our hospitals over the past 20 years – and how you can take on a 100ft abseil down the side of the Queen’s Medical Centre!

Supporting young patients for 20 years

Thanks to people like you, we’ve been supporting the Youth Service at Nottingham’s hospitals for almost 20 years. 

From holding weekly youth clubs to running annual confidence-boosting residential trips, the Youth Service enables patients aged 11 to 21 to get support from peers and trained youth workers during their time in hospital.

Abseil

The Big QMC Abseil is back!

Our popular Big QMC Abseil is back for 2026! Join us on Saturday 5th September, and abseil almost 100ft down the side of one the UK’s tallest hospitals. 

Take part on your own, or with friends, family or colleagues, and raise money for your chosen area of Nottingham’s NHS hospitals.

Now open to those aged 13 plus!

Panthers

Nottingham Panthers support Lake Energy fundraising event

Ice hockey stars from Nottingham Panthers traded their sticks for serving trays at a special fundraising event in aid of Nottingham Children’s Hospital, raising over £4,600.
