Every year, we provide funding for vital cancer research right here in Nottingham. From childhood cancer, to breast cancer, prostate cancer and blood cancers, we fund a range of research into diagnosis and treatment – and we couldn’t do this without the help of our dedicated supporters.
You might want to support local cancer research in memory of a loved one, or as a thank you for the care that the NHS has given to you, a family member or a friend.
There are a whole host of ways you can get involved in supporting research at Nottingham’s hospitals. Here are a few ideas for how you can get involved…
Whether it’s your head or your beard, brave the shave and raise funds for local cancer research at the same time! You can set up an online
JustGiving page to raise funds, and invite family and friends along to the big shave – perhaps you can even persuade a loved one or colleague to take part alongside you!
- Hold a tea party or coffee morning
Whether it’s virtually or in person, get friends, family, colleagues or your community group together for a cuppa and a chat, and raise money for vital cancer research at the same time. Don’t forget to
let us know about your coffee morning plans so we can offer some handy tips before the big day.
- Take part in one of our charity fundraising events
We have a whole host of events you can get involved in – there’s our
Big QMC Abseil and
Charity Skydive for those who like an adrenaline-filled challenge, or for those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, how about taking on our
Hike for your Hospitals challenge? Whatever you decide to do, you can get sponsored in aid of cancer research at Nottingham Hospitals.
