Welcome to your June update from Nottingham Hospitals Charity. It’s your LAST CHANCE to join our fabulous Dragon Boat Race next month, so read on to find out how you can be part of the action! And read our update on important building work taking place at Hayward House, thanks to our supporters.
It's not too late to join our hugely popular Big QMC Abseil on Saturday 6th September! Take on the 100-foot drop for your chosen area of NUH and take in the amazing views from the top.
This event is now open to ages 13+, and it’s quick and simple to place a group booking online, so why not get your family, friends and colleagues involved as well?
Thanks to our supporters, we’ve funded some special ice creams to keep older patients hydrated and nourished during their time in hospital.
The N-ICE creams were developed by a team at NUH for older patients who may struggle to eat, especially in the warmer weather, and are rich in the nutrients they need to aid their recovery.
Thanks to supporters of our Big Appeal, we’ve been able to fund a new sensory trolley to help keep children calm and relaxed during hospital visits.
The activity station in Children’s Outpatients South is frequently used by children who are having blood taken, to keep them calm and distracted, and contains a variety of fun sensory activities.
