Why five-year-old Ruby is hiking for her local hospitals

Our youngest ever blogger, Ruby Copley, from Arnold, tells us why she chose to take part in Hike for your Hospitals in aid of Nottingham’s NHS hospitals…

“My name is Ruby and I am five years old. I walked 26.2 miles during the month of August to say thank you to all the doctors and nurses who looked after my Nana Dianne when she was in hospital with coronavirus.

“Having Nana home means we can have lots of fun together. We’re so lucky she is better again and can play with me, my sister and my cousin.

“I’m so excited about my walk and I’m hoping I raise some money to say thank you, because without the doctors and nurses I wouldn’t have my Nana here to watch me grow.”

After setting a fundraising target of £100, Ruby has now raised a phenomenal £2,300! Amazing!

Thank you so much to Ruby for supporting Nottingham Hospitals Charity by taking part in Hike for your Hospitals!
