We love speaking to our fundraisers about all the activities they do throughout the year for us. Rob Jones is not just taking on one event, but ten different events throughout 2022.

After his son was born prematurely at 35 weeks, and weighing just three pounds, in 2015, Rob saw the amazing lengths that staff at Nottingham Hospitals go to for their patients. After two weeks of care, Rob’s son Albert was discharged home and Rob never got the chance to say thank you to all the staff who looked after him, Albert and his wife Ruby.

To say thank you, Rob will be taking on a variety of ten events over the space of a year and is aiming to raise £2,000 for the hospitals.

He decided to start fundraising after seeing Hat-trick for Hospitals on Facebook and it timed perfectly with what he wanted to do in 2022.

“I thought the campaign was a great initiative and it feels amazing to help two local charities that are both close to my heart. I’ve been a fan of Nottingham Forest since I can remember. Even though I’m not old enough to remember their glory days, I have still seen them in the Premier League which was amazing.”

We’ll be supporting Rob throughout the year and we can’t wait to see him smash through his goal.
