This New Year, you can recycle your Christmas tree in aid of your local NHS hospitals.

Nottingham Hospitals Charity is running a Christmas tree recycling scheme, where people can have their tree collected and recycled for a minimum donation of just £10, which will go towards supporting staff and patients at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals.

People across Nottinghamshire can sign up for the scheme online now [please note registrations are now closed] with tree collections taking place from Wednesday 6 January, to Friday 15 January, 2021.

Louise Knight, Head of Fundraising at Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer the people of Nottinghamshire this chance to not only recycle their tree in a hassle-free way, but also to support patients and staff at our hospitals at the same time.

“It’s a quick and simple way to support your local NHS after what has been a tough and challenging year.”

Money raised through the scheme will benefit NHS staff and patients at the City Hospital, Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham Children’s Hospital and Ropewalk House Hearing Centre.
