We are delighted that Nottingham City Hospital has become the first hospital in the UK to receive Magnet® Recognition.

The accreditation means that City Hospital is now globally recognised for providing world-class nursing care and leadership.

Nottingham Hospitals Charity is extremely proud to have supported the hospital throughout its journey to achieving this highly esteemed accreditation.

To become a Magnet® recognised hospital, nursing staff at City Hospital had to provide a range of evidence of high standards in nursing care, as well as having a virtual site visit by appraisers.

For patients and visitors, Magnet® accreditation means receiving the very best care which has been globally recognised, delivered by nurses and their teams who are supported to be the very best that they can be.

Barbara Cathcart, Chief Executive of Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said: “As a charity, one of our key focuses has always been to invest in our NHS staff and support them in providing excellent care to patients. We are extremely proud to have supported our hospital trust on its journey to Magnet accreditation and would like to congratulate the hardworking and dedicated NHS staff whose commitment and care have made this happen.”
