We’re proud to celebrate the incredible success of Panthers Fights Cancer Month 2025, which brought our community together in support of cancer care and research at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals.
Thanks to the generosity of Panthers fans and players, this year’s campaign raised an outstanding £8,300 to directly support cancer services at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals. These funds were raised through the sale of the limited-edition Panthers Fights Cancer jerseys, alongside generous customer donations throughout November 2025. Panthers Fights Cancer Month once again showcased the power of sport to unite a community.
All profits from the sale of replica jerseys were donated to Nottingham Hospitals Charity. In addition, the majority of the team’s game-worn jerseys were available to win online, with proceeds going to Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
Panthers’ community programme also contributed a further £930 towards the charity’s general fund, helping to support a wide range of important services across Nottingham’s NHS hospitals.
Over the past few years, Nottingham Panthers have been working closely with Nottingham Hospitals Charity to support the Oncology Unit, in memory of their beloved General Manager, Gary Moran, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2021. Panthers Fights Cancer Month is not only a fundraising campaign, but also a powerful tribute.
Since 2012, Panthers have helped raise over £64,000 specifically for cancer care and research at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals. In total, Panthers have raised an incredible £96,000 for a range of causes supported by Nottingham Hospitals Charity, including cancer care, Hayward House, Cystic Fibrosis, and cardiology services.
Every pound raised helps Nottingham Hospitals Charity making a lasting difference to patients and their families across Nottinghamshire and beyond. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from Panthers and their fans, and we’re excited for what we can achieve together in the future.
“Panthers Fights Cancer Month continues to show the incredible impact a community can make when it comes together. We are so grateful to the Nottingham Panthers, their fans, and everyone who supported last year's Panthers Fight Cancer month. Not only are these funds helping improve cancer care for patients and families across Nottingham, but they also stand as a powerful tribute to those affected by cancer, including Gary Moran” - Michelle Dorman, Senior Community Fundraising Manager.
