Fundraising For Breast Cancer Research

Many of our supporters choose to raise money for breast cancer research, as it a cause close to their heart. We thought we’d take this opportunity to share some ideas of how you can join them in fundraising for local breast cancer research.

Every year, we provide funding for vital research into the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, taking place here in Nottingham, at the Nottingham Breast Institute.

Many of our fundraisers support this research as a way of thanking the Breast Institute for caring for a loved one, in memory of a loved one who has sadly passed away, or in hope for a friend or family member who is being treated for the disease.

If you’d like to support breast cancer research in Nottingham, here are some ways you can get involved…

Hold your own fundraising event

Get creative and put together your own fundraising event, and invite your friends, family or colleagues. Your event could be either in-person or virtual, and ideas include a coffee morning, quiz night or fancy dress day! Register your event here and our friendly fundraising team will be in touch to offer you lots of advice and support.

Take part in one of our charity fundraising events

We have a whole host of events you can get involved in – from our Big QMC Abseil and Charity Skydive for those daredevils among us, or for those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, how about taking on our Hike for your Hospitals challenge? Whatever you decide to do, you can choose to donate your sponsor money to breast cancer research here in Nottingham.

Get your business, school, or community group involved

There’s no need to go it alone! You can get your business, school or community group involved in fundraising for breast cancer research through Nottingham Hospitals Charity. You could choose us as your Charity or the Year, or combine your efforts and hold one big fundraising event such as a charity ball.

Make a donation in memory of a loved one

Remember someone special by giving a gift in memory of a loved one. Many of our fundraisers support our breast cancer research campaign in memory of a friend or family member who sadly lost their life to the disease. Giving a gift in their memory can be a special tribute to your loved one, and can help make sure their legacy lives on.

Become a Nottingham Hospitals Charity Friend

You can give a monthly gift by becoming a Nottingham Hospitals Charity Friend. For a donation of just £5 a month, you can help us continue to fund the vital breast cancer research taking place at the Nottingham Breast Institute.
