After 17 years of leading Nottingham Hospitals Charity to become one of the most successful and impactful NHS charities in the country, our chief executive Barbara Cathcart has decided to retire, and will be saying farewell to the Charity and our colleagues at the Trust in March 2024.

Barbara founded the charity back in 2006, when two charities supporting Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital merged. Since then, she has been at the forefront of fundraising and grant-making, approving pioneering projects across NUH worth over £50million to enhance patient care in Nottingham and beyond.

In early 2024 we will be looking back at some of the biggest impacts Barbara has made during her time at the Charity.
