Welcome to your September update from Nottingham Hospitals Charity. As summer draws to a close, we’re looking back at a special residential trip your support enabled us to fund, to help young people spending time in hospital over the summer holidays. Read on to find out more.
Helping young people enjoy new experiences
Thanks to your donations, we funded a special residential trip for young people spending time in hospital over the summer holidays.
The trip, which is organised annually by the NUH Youth Service, was full of fun adventures like abseiling and paddleboarding. The activities were suitable for wheelchair users, and encouraged young people to try new things despite their illnesses.

Fundraising superstar William Reckless fundraises for a second year
Remember our amazing young supporter William Reckless, who lost both legs and nine fingers to sepsis? William has taken on another huge fundraising challenge to mark five years since his amputations.

After a life-changing brain haemorrhage left Maddie unable to walk or talk, she spent 12 weeks being cared for at Nottingham hospitals. Now she’s taking on a 95km challenge to thank hospital staff for their care.
