Welcome to your December update from Nottingham Hospitals Charity. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support throughout 2025, and wish you all the best for the festive season and New Year. Read on to find out about some of the impactful projects you’ve helped to fund over the past year, as well as how you can recycle your Christmas tree with Nottingham Hospitals Charity once the festive period is over.
Thanks to your donations, we’ve been able to support over 650 projects at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals over the past year, totalling over £3.6 million.
From £10 for equipment to help with occupational health assessments, to £1 million for a surgical robot which has helped to more than double capacity, your support has made amazing things happen.
Our popular Christmas tree recycling scheme is back! Our team of volunteers will be collecting used real Christmas trees from across Nottinghamshire from Tuesday 6th January 2026.
We’ll collect your tree for a donation from just £10, making it an affordable and convenient way to help tidy away those decorations at the end of the festive season.
Want to remember and pay tribute to someone special this festive season? Our virtual ‘Lights to Celebrate’ are back for 2025 – where you can light up our virtual Christmas tree and leave a dedication to that special person at this poignant time of year.
Santa came along to meet patients and families from Nottingham Children’s Hospital at our very special Breakfast with Santa earlier this month. It meant children in hospital could still be part of this magical festive experience.
Give the gift of joy to a patient spending this Christmas in hospital by donating to our Christmas appeal. Your donation can help fund gifts, activities and experiences for patients of all ages who find themselves in hospital this festive season and beyond.
