August Supporter Update
Welcome to your August update from Nottingham Hospitals Charity. With the summer months upon us, we’ve funded some special ice creams to help keep older patients properly nourished. Read on to find out more about this project, which has been funded thanks to your donations, along with all our latest news and events.
Special ice creams help nourish older patients
Thanks to your donations, we’ve funded some special ice creams to keep older patients hydrated and nourished during their time in hospital.
The N-ICE creams were developed by a team at NUH for elderly patients who may struggle to eat, especially in the warmer weather, and are rich in the nutrients they need to aid their recovery.

It's not too late to join our hugely popular Big QMC Abseil on Saturday 6th September!
Take on the 100-foot drop for your chosen area of Nottingham’s hospitals, and take in the breathtaking views from the top.
This event is now open to ages 13+, so why not get your family and friends involved as well?
Doctors saved Seth's life, so he decided to give back
Read our supporter Seth’s incredible story about how doctors fought to save his life when he was moments from death. Thanks to their care, he was able to welcome his first child into the world just a few months later.
Run for Nottingham's NHS hospitals
Are you signed up for this year's Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 28th September? If so, why not join the Nottingham Hospitals Charity team of runners, and run in aid of your chosen area of our hospitals?
Asiyah shared her cancer story
Eight-year-old Asiyah and her friends have raised £7,500 for Nottingham Children's Hospital, where she’s being treated for acute myeloid leukaemia. Asiyah shared her story, and her thanks to the team who are caring for her.
