Supporting bereaved parents in Nottingham
At Nottingham Hospitals Charity, we help to provide a safe space and support for parents and families affected by baby loss and child bereavement across Nottinghamshire and beyond.
Losing a baby or child is a heartbreaking experience that no family should have to face. Through dedicated services and facilities, including our Robin Centre, we’re able to help provide compassionate care, specialist support, and connect parents and families with nurses, clinicians and bereavement support services from Nottingham’s NHS hospitals.
The Robin Centre
The Robin Centre, at the City Hospital in Nottingham, is a calm and homely space designed to support grieving parents, away from the hospital environment, during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Families can:
- Speak openly with nurses and clinicians who were involved in their baby's or child's care
- Receive emotional and practical support from trained professionals after their loss
- Spend time in a calm, private environment away from the busy and noisy hospital wards
The aim of the Robin Centre is to ensure that families feel supported after their loss.
