How can I promote my fundraising event?

There are lots of ways you can share the news of your fundraising with friends and family. With the power of social media, you can keep your supporters up to date with all your efforts, training or event milestones, and continue to encourage them to come or support your event.

How do I plan an event?

Coming up with a brilliant idea for an event is the first step! If you want to give back to Nottingham hospitals and say thank you for their excellent care, we can help you decide what to do if you’re not sure. Get in touch with our Fundraising team at charity@nuh.nhs.uk and we’ll happily support and advise you.

Do I need any licences or health and safety documents?

If you are running your own event and not taking part in one of our organised events, you are solely responsible for making sure that everyone is safe and there is no risk to others. If you are holding an event within a venue, speak to the owner and find out what you need to put on an event safely – they may already have you covered.

Some events require public liability cover, which will protect you against claims made by third parties for injury or property damage as a result of negligence. Please seek further advice from the venue owner or our fundraising team if you are unsure.

How do I get involved in a fundraising event?

We have numerous events on offer throughout the year, from running events such as the Robin Run 5k & Fun Day, through to activities perfect for thrillseekers like our Charity skydive. All our events are listed above and if you would like any more information around these, please get in touch with our team.

Why should I get involved?

Taking part in a fundraising event is not only fun for you and everyone involved but can be life-changing for patients right here in Nottingham. All your donations will go back into Nottingham’s NHS hospitals to improve care and wellbeing for your local community. It’s also a brilliant way to say thank you to our amazing staff for looking after us and our loved ones for the past 75 years.

You can find out more about how your fundraising will go on to help support much needed projects on the Our Impact page.
